Shrink Film
Shrink film is applied loosely around an item and shrinks tightly with apply with heat. Shrink film, also known as shrinkwrap or shrink wrap, is made up of polyethylene. When heat is applied to this material it shrinks tightly over whatever it is covering.
Heat can be applied with a hand held heat gun or the product and film can pass through a heat tunnel on a conveyor.
GT Max's shrink film is commonly used as an overwrap on many types of packaging, such as cartons, boxes, beverage cans and pallet loads. A variety of products may be enclosed in shrink wrap to stabilize the products. It can be used as covering for some foods andd it is also used to cover boats after manufacture or storage.
Our shrink film is polyolefin. It is available in a variety of thicknesses, clarities, strengths and shrink ratios. GT Max's two primary shrink films are either crosslinked, or non crosslinked. Other shrink films include PVC.

Polyethylene Film
Polyethylene films is used widely in the packaging industry. GT-MAX PLASTIC INDUSTRIES (M) SDN. BHD is one of the producers of polyethylene film in Malaysia. We have been manufacturing a range of both Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) film and High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) film since 2002.
Polyethylene is classified into several different categories based mostly on its density and branching. The mechanical properties of PE depend significantly on variables such as the extent and type of branching, the crystal structure and the molecular weight. With regard to sold volumes, the most important polyethylene grades are HDPE, LLDPE and LDPE.
Our polyethylene film range offers customers a wide range of LLDPE products. Our polyethylene films are suitable for a wide range of applications: general purposes films, heavy duty films, cast stretch films as well as a blending partner.
Depending on the requirement on the polyethylene grade and end product application, the polyethylene film is either conveyed to the extruder systems where additives are combined to produce natural pelletised grades or to the compounding facility.
The resins are then dried, homogenised and bagged for delivery.
